Hi all...
I typically sharpen my knives on the flat platen of my grinder. This has worked great for me. My current project is a small recurve, however, and I have to come up with another method for grinding the final edge. In the past, I have removed the platen from my KMG and slack-ground a convex edge. This does work, but I have had issues messing up the grind on the blade-tip as it comes off the slack belt. If all else fails though, I will likely try splitting a belt and slack-grinding the edge... but I was hoping somebody out there had a trick for grinding the final edge on a recurve.
Thanks in advance.
