Sharpening recurves

Hi I'm wondering how to sharpen recurves. A specific example is the ZT 200 by kershaw which has Ken Onion's style of recurve. How would you go about sharpening this?I know stones can't so would you use a rod?(yes i suck a sharpening)

you can also use a mousemat with a piece of sandpaper rolled up.

Would you treat the recurve like one big serration?

i guess as long as you kept the same angle on the entire length of the recurve then it would be ok.

Sharpening a re-curve takes a special movement, looks kinda like a waving motion. I like diamond oval rods and/or a beltsander.
