I bought a 2nd generation Carbon V Trail Master a couple of months ago. It had been a safe queen all of its life and was unused.
However, the factory grind of the edge is off. The grind is much shallower (too shallow) around the middle of the blade, but the grind is deeper at the rear of the blade and about the last inch and a half of the tip.
Although I do sharpen my knives, I don't think I have enough experience to fix this edge profile while keeping it looking good. I would prefer to send it to a professional resharpening service that will straighten the edge out.
Does anybody have any references for a really professional resharpening service? I don't mind mailing the knife, I just want the edge perfect.
