I searched previous threads and could not find a good professional knife sharpening service or individual but I could be searching incorrectly. I have been sending my knives to Apostle P and he did amazing work on all my knives, including “super steels” that can be difficult, but I can’t get a response from him these days to send him more knives for sharpening. Does anyone know of a reputable, extremely competent service or individual they could recommend? I want to send a Large Inkosi Tanto, Tuya Envy, and a GEC 38 for now.

Rob has been on vacation and now is moving to a new home. He’ll be back in business in a couple of weeks.
(Jerad Neeve has done fine work for me in the past: #neevesknives on Instagram.)

Thanks, yeah I’m aware of his move and vacation. He hasn’t replied to my emails a couple times now over several months. Not mad or blaming or anything negative, I really would prefer to send him more knives but I can’t get a response.

Why dont you learn to sharpen yourself? I have a couple cheap whetstones and some good stropping compound. I can get a knife to where itll whittle hairs and its a great feeling knowing you did it yourself.

Yeah, I’ve gotten pretty good over the past year with a worksharp and strops, but I’m telling you, it’s no where close to the perfection (angle wise) and mirrored edge I got back from Rob. I’m doing research right now on what system I want to buy and haven’t quite decided. I certainly don’t want to continue my learning curve on my Inkosi, lol. I do plan on becoming an expert though, may take years but it’ll be worth it.
