Sharpening system

The cheap ductile metal part tells me it isn't worth sharpening and there better be a good reason for the recurve part or else it goes where the cheap blade went. Otherwise, little problem.
 
If only the other knives I used would take an edge as easy as my opinel 8 I’d be tickled pink, the d2 especially seems to refuse to take a nice edge, guessing because of its hardness, also my benchmade 710 in ats 34 seems to not wanna be sharpened.
