Ok so i picked up an ontario fortress. Now i need to put a decent edge on the clip. Problem is the angle that the swedge is ground at is not very acute. For general reprofiling i usually use a lansky type guide rod sharpening system. Then for normal sharpening i use a spyderco sharpmaker. Problem is with the angle of the swedge the way it is the guide rod system won't do it. It would end up removing the coating on the entire swedge. If it wasnt a coated blade I'd just reprofile the entire swedge then refinsh it to match the rest of the blade. I'm ok with a bench stone but the concavity of the clip wont allow the use of one. Any ideas? Or anyone know of a good professional sharpening service in the hartford ct area that could handle this and leave it looking like a factory job. I'm etremely picky about the cleaness of a sharpening job. Its gotta be a nice clean even edge with no scratches on the finish.
Thanks
