sharpening vic spirit blade

has anyone sharpened their Vic spirit blade? Is the stainless steel blade difficult to sharpen?

Never sharpened a vic spirit but have sharpened plenty of vics and wengers, some serrated, the steel is easy to sharpen, but use a round or tapered sharpener that matches the serration pattern, and follow it closely. May not be the best way, but on some of my serrated knifes I touch them up with a loaded strop, works well on swiss army knives.

I use a Spyderco Sharpmaker on mine. Very easy, no problems :thumbup::thumbup:

I sharpened my friend's Spirit on a plain-jane diamond and finished up with a ceramic rod and strop. No problems.

If you want to preserve the serrations be sure to use a angled or round rod and sharpen each scallop individually. Otherwise just sharpen like you wold any plain edge and eventually you'll have one.
