Sharpening

lowes stalks smiths tri hone set for like 26 bux i picked one up and it works well i dont use it with the supplied oil just water and i get a sharp edge in no time. if reproing a knife it takes a little while but that is good gives you time to work on them skills. its not rocket science bud get your self a permanent marker to see where you are grinding on the edge. this will help you keep a steady angle and let you know where there are spots that need more work. one thing to remember is to not fatigue your self, you will just make more work for yourself in the long run. with this set of stones i can put a new grind on a knife and have it good and sharp in an hour's time after that 5 mins of touch up if it is in rough shape and if not and i just want that bite back couple light strokes on the fine stone and im there in no time.

if you have problems with hand sharpening i can maybe give you a hand and let ya in on a few things that i have learned over the years.
