It is a Thin NICK variant. Cut (ground) to be a fillet knife and heat anodized, IIRC.

IIRC knives occasionally come out of heat treat with that unusual patina and if pretty enough they don't clean them up.

My Basic 6 LE sharpened by Beef is my sharpest Busse. Hair pops out of its way before it actually makes contact.
I'm still working on my TGLB but I trust I can put a nice edge on it once I'm done polishing it.
