Sharpest Knives?

My 586 came from Benchmade insanely sharp.

I haven't reprofiled it because of that. I've stropped it a couple times on diamond loaded leather and it's still crazy sharp and holds on to the edge.

I like M390

Sharpest knife that I have personally received was a cheep CRKT that came as a bonus gift. Dullest, Boker Solingen Walker design. Terrible knife. Sharpest I have seen new- Edmund Davidson knives. His knives also keep an edge longer than anything I have ever seen.

Out of the box? Spyderco Ulize. Insanely sharp.

Honorable mention? Another Spyderco, the Civilian. I honestly think that point is sharper than a needle. Check one out sometime.

Out of the box, Rockstead....serious I have never seen its match.

Sharpest in my collection now Crk 25 insignio

Wicked edge

Without a doubt two Lone Wolf (pre-Benchmade buyout) knives, a Diablo and a Paul Defender Carbon Fiber. I don't know if it is because they have thinner blade stock than my ZT's, but they were (and still are) scary sharp, the only ones I have that I am really worried about cutting myself when handling them. I have four original Lone Wolfs, and I think they made great knives. Have not handled any of the new ones.

it depends who you buy it from, i suppose. among my spydercos out-of-the-box, the sharpest was a vg-10 delica i bought from a local dealer. my ebay knives were sharp alright, gives you a grating feel on your finger tips and able to slice hair. but that vg-10 delica edge felt sticky to my finger tips, telling me i was slicing through my skin. it can spit hair both directions.

Sharpest out of the box was my Spyderco ZDP-189 Caly 3. It was the knife that got me to shoot for the next level of sharpness.

The sharpest I own is probably my Tojiro shirogami nakiri. I sharpen it on waterstones.

I dont think i ever saw anything sharper than a Spyderedge right from the box, the last one i picked was a zytel ladybug and was surreal.
The only two Spyderedges that i got with so-so sharpness were the warrior as the serrations angle is pretty obtuse to not weaken the spine too much and a flat saber endura which is still sharp but not treetopping no matter how i polish it because the angle is also quite obtuse, i wonder if it's intended though.

Sharpest out of the box was my Kasumi boning knife- sharpest one I carry my Case mini trapper in CV steel

Sharpest: anything I've ever bought from Adventure Sworn. Cody gets them stupid sharp!

Enzo Birk 75 was frighteningly sharp out of the box. I can get most knives hair popping sharp fairly easy so I'm used to handling fairly sharp knives. I handled that Birk with more caution than usual though. It cut like nothing it had ever seen.

Sharpest right now is my XM-18.
