Sharpfinger Hmmm.....

Down and dirty, Dirty Bob!

Luv it.

Marcus, my AUS8 folders like the Endura can handle extremly light prying with the point and moderate prying with the back of the eye hum (paint can lids)but a one piece knife made of 1095 steel will always be a better option and cost less. Go to K-mart and buy two if you are afraid you will break it. As for the edge being thick, sharpen it well I guess, no problem with mine. WD 40 handles the rust consideration and I have never eaten enough WD 40 off my endura to get sick from. No lock to fail, no handle openings to gunk up with mud so I cannot safely carry it, and $20 plus tax at any K-mart in IL. looks like a winner to me. Nemo does a great review, go read it (FUN) Excellent defensive piece in that it will do the job well (it was designed for opening up bodies!) and it does not raise alarm bells here in the Chicago area. Pretty cool, eh?

I have the drop point version of the Sharpfinger(1540OT)The OT is for Old Timer.
I rediscovered this while digging thru a box of knives I seldom use.
Flat grind with a great blade shape.Takes a verrry sharp edge and holds it reasonably well. This is a "just the right size" knife for everyday stuff . I will concur, however, with the opinion of the light weight leather sheath."It ain't much".To be fair to Schrade this is a sheath from 20 years ago.I have been unable to find this drop point Schrade(Old Timer) anywhere now,so I assume it is discontinued.Too bad I like it better than the upswept blade shape.
Remove the scales, wrap the handle, get a nice Kydex sheath,I'm thinking a fine neck knife.Only draw back is this knife requires regular maintance to prevent surface rust.
