I ordered a kydex sheath from Sharpshooter's Sheath Systems. I had a few email exchanges about fittings, mode of carry, etc., then agreed on a sheath. I sent in payment via PayPal to his account, and it cleared in a few days. That was back on 7 Dec 06. Haven't heard a word or received a sheath. I've sent a few emails, like a month and two months later, just to ask about the status of the order (I'm sure he's busy), and have got no replies. Does it really take more than 2 months to make a kydex sheath? (I'm actually asking--I have no idea.) It was for a Bark River Highlander Special, and he had one in stock to use as a mold. Not sure what to do next...

Go to the BRKT forum on knifeforums and sent sharpshooter a PM. I would assume there's been a mix up.

speed, Sharpshooter is actually partnered with BRKT at the present. He's working out of their building during the week, so you could likely call Reid up at BRKT's shop and find out what's up. I find a phone call often takes the heat out and puts everything right in a few moments.

The BRKT phone is 906-789-1801.

FWIW, I had him build 4 or 5 sheaths for me right before the Christmas holiday and they were simply fantastic.

HoB and Parker: thanks--I had no idea of the association with BRKT. I have always assumed that Sharpshooter's Sheaths was trustworthy--I got the info and web link from the forum where others had praised his work. I figure there's some tech/computer mix up with my order. I'll call right away and post the results.

Thanks again!

Just talked to Reid at Sharpshooter--no problems and everything worked out. Thanks again, guys, for the contact info.

Ah, the power of GBU - information and direction producing resolution, glad this worked out for you, and I'm sure you'll really like the sheath.
