Shave Stuff Show and Tell

Are you the one who scored that on Straight Razor Place?

Flare tip Super Speed, travel Tech, Gold Ball End Tech. If you gave me the date codes I could tell you the years and quarters too

Jack, Have you used the Rolls yet? I used both my straight and Rolls this week, went back and forth with them. Got good shaves all week. DM

Yes but I really need to get used to it. I started with the Rolls but finished up with my Dahlgren/Eskilstuna SR.

Well I haven't taken a picture of everything I have for some time now, but I did just pick up a couple of Gillette Oddities.

I found a Gillette Goodwill with a Probak handle. the consensus is that since they were giving the Goodwills away and that it was around the time that Gillette and Probak merged, it is most likely the way it was made and not pieced together

And I found a Canadian Old Type with machined in shoulders for the newer blades. Since the Old Type was fazed out in 1929 and the New took over in 1929, it is speculated that it was an attempt to make the new blades work better with the old razors till they could match production of the New

The standard old head is on the right, the odd one with the machined shoulders is on the left

Maybe some time soon I will get everything all clean and polished and take a group picture, but I have been lazy lately:o

I just posted this in a thread on another forum, but mayhap you'd like to see them here as well:

My Dopp kit is one of my favorite possessions. To me it means the freedom to pick up and go. Silly? Maybe, but it is what it is. Maybe some of you can relate to a little obsession?

Mark, Man you carry a lot of stuff in that bag. I thought I'd see a rabbit's foot and some emergency fishing gear too. ;) Great travel kit. Mine contains a styptic pencil as well. DM
