I just run my Super-Tinker about 30 alternating stokes down the white rods of the Sharpmaker's white rods (40 degree). Shaving sharp in about a minute or so.
SAKs are one of the easiest knives to sharpen. That and their price makes them great for learning.
I just reprofile the edge to ~10 degrees per side, refine the bevel with a fine DMT stone, then use a couple strokes per side with ultrafine ceramic rods for a microbevel. Finish with a strop.
I don't know about a very fine angle on SAK steel. Mine get dull fast enough with a 40 degree final bevel from a Sharpmaker. SAK steel is not particularly hard.
