I always shave with my knives, having ditched the disposable razor. The SRM763 on my EDC is practically the most used.

I have a couple times just for the fun of it .This is a pic of when my wife asked me to cleen up my beard.

This was with the factoy edge and a dry shave.I won't do that again. I did shave my beard off once with a Enlan EL-02.It needed a strop about half way through but it gave a nice clean shave.Maybe I will do it again when it gets warmer.

Edit to add: yes, I also do it dry. Maintained with the 1000 & 1500g sandpaper, stropped on cardboard with metal polish.
Here it is, with an EL02 that has been reprofiled and fully capable for the same task.

I would have liked to have had my strop for a quick edge touch up before I started. I was on vacation, and it was right before the 4th of July. I forgot my shaving kid, and did not want to go to Walmart right before the 4th with all the people there. I used my pocket knife (a Gec made Scharade) and some baby shampoo.

Not as clean as a new razor, or nearly as clean as it would have been if I had my strop handy.

They are normally sharper, but I had been lazy, and did not touch them up before I left on vacation. Just a few strokes per side normally has them at hair whittling.

Strop, cheap chromium oxide polish, and a hair sitting between the knives for testing.

I convexed both the clips, and polished them on the strop. The spey blades, are both shaving sharp, but at much closer to the factory angle, and more of a polished V with a bit of cleaning up on sandpaper, but not to a complete convex either.

I did once with a kershaw chill. I have the edge super lean, almost a zero grind. Its at 17 inclusive with a slight convex, and I finished on green compound lightly coated on a soft leather strop. It was about the same shave I get from cheapie disposables but I did have to strop it twice throughout. 8CR13MOV isn't the best in edge retention lol.
