Mulder,

I'm going to pass on this but I thank you for the generous offer!

I've heard from a few of you so will be starting soon.
The rest of you please let me know if you want in or out.
I might take a few more if more guys opt out.

Just so you guys know.
The knife I will be passing around is the same one that was used in my first passaround.

I just want to say thanks to the very generous HOG that has agreed to trade it back to me for this passaround.

I got the SHBA yesterday from forager. It feels awesome in my hand. It's a million times better than the BATAC. It actually is my dream knife I have described as a shrunken down version of my ASH-1. I used it today to prepare hickory for my smoker. I like the black finish--reminds me of my Severtech. The Eagle sheath is cool too, now I know if I'm able to pick one up it's gotta have the sheath. Thanks for the opportunity to play with it Mulder.

Excellent description! Is he most comfortable Busse i've ever had my hands on also!

Glad to hear you had a chance to put it to good use.
Now lets see some pics. :D

By the way, I do have a few more, sheath and all:foot:

So I got the Badger Attack in the mail on Monday. I took some very crappy pics with a few other knives for size comparisons.

First I took photo's of how the knife looks (it is a user for sure, and it is great to see a knife with beauty marks).

Here it is in the sheath. The sheath felt a bit loose so I adjusted the knot back a tiny bit. Then I wrapped from the opposite direction, and it was nice and snug.

(on a side note, the steel smells different than infi............just a weird thing I notice about tool steel, and spring steel of most types, it has a different smell than stainless or infi, I think it might be the oxidation or something........ok, weirdness turned off).

Thick enough for real use and abuse.

Has some real dings and beauty marks on the spine. I shudder to think what kind of use was hard enough to cause these beauty marks.

neat...super neat.

Ok, is there a design of late the offering that is as versatile and as comfortable?

Here it is on top of an Ash1.

IMG_2946.jpg

Actually more room on the BA handle. I wear size xxl gloves, and am actually closer to XXXL, but the fingers are too darned long.

Some outside shots. I am kind of laid up right now. Just able to make it through work and then lay down once I get home.

IMG_2962.jpg

I very very lightly touched the edge about 3 times per side on ceramic sticks and then stropped it with a loaded strop for about 10 passes per side. Easily popped hair off the back of the hand, even the very short ones not quite grown back.

IMG_2964.jpg

For the thickness of the spine, the grind down to the edge is actually finer than I am used to seeing on normal Busse knives. Made some decent thin curls on the baton, but I could not get the pic to turn out, and with my injured back, I did not want to carry the chair out into the sun to get the pic.

I did about 100 plus cuts on cardboard, and it would still shave arm hair.

I would never feel under pre paired with this knife on my belt.

The thing is neat.

Not sure. The closest handle I have felt in this size range is the Boss street. The blade is not the same side, and the handle is shaped different, but is a great feeling handle as well.

The above post with the pictures, took me 3 attempts. My internet is acting up, and kicking me off.

BigFattyHog,

Wow, nice pics and review. Glad you have enjoyed the experience that only a Badger can give.
It will be nice to see my baby when she gets home.

Thanks to all who participated and I hope you all had fun.

Till next time,
piglet
