SHBM comes home

BUMP FROM THE PAST

The reason why I bumped this thread that is over a year old is that I would like you newer guys to see what Hog's are partially about. It's this type of brotherhood that keeps Busse Hog's going and keeps them coming back here.

It's starts out about the knives, then remains with brotherhood.

Flatlander, my apologies if this was rude to resurrect your thread. :)

That is a Great resurrection

Speaking as a noobe,Yes this story & others I've read, speaks loudly of "Hogs".You folk's need a 12 step program organized,to help with the addiction.LOL
I'll go 1st....Hello my name is Jim,I have a problem,I've recently been lurking at a internet knife fourm, and discovered my blade of choice...Busse's...

I am not making light of the post,I was touched reading it.

No problem Bryan. I re-read this the other day myself to remind me of what THIS forum is all about.
You doing ok this winter?

Ehhh.... Getting by, but getting grouchier these days. Not sure why. Aside from that, things are going fairly better than laster year this time.

How's that SHBM holdin' up? :D

Understand the grouchy deal. It seems my wife is starting to tell me more often that maybe I should seek profesional help for my "attitude" problem:rolleyes:
Glad to hear you're doing better. Sometimes reaching the point where the only place to go is up a good thing. The trip down sucks though.
The Mistress isn't seeing too much action except when Mike and I destroy ammo cans at the INFI 1500:D

Cool deal on the SHBM.

As for the "attitude problem"... Way I see it is I work hard to show nothing for it, it's 5* outside, I am single and can't find a woman, let alone afford one, my meals consist of ramen noodles and coffee, life sucks then you die and I don't have time for BS. So for an "attitude problem", I don't have one. I have a firm grasp on reality and choose to salute reality with my middle finger and bare arse. As for the rest of the time, I try to be polite and make friends. :D (Just a general statement, not directed at anyone and certainly not towards you or mrs. Mills ;) )

Anyway... LMAO

Happy New Year

Bryan

LMAO
Maybe it's that "firm grasp on reality" part that I'm having troubles with!!
Come on down from the frozen tundra. I can find you some women that you may be able to afford. It beats freezing your bare arse of when you moon someone;) You've always got a place to stay if the mood ever hits ya.

Bob Mills

Yeah, I may take you up on that soon. But life is going fair. Had a brother from another mother make my Christmas rock with some help and things food wise are improving.

So in all fairness, I'd say the good is starting to out weigh the bad and I'll be hitting up blade show this year :D

As for the woman, that may be adding salt to a wound, so to speak :D

LMAO... Nothing more enjoyable than your cheeks frozen to a car window during a drive by mooning. Hasn't happened yet, but makes me laugh thinking about it.

As for the "firm grasp on reality"... Translate that as when you have it, chock the ever loving s*** outta it for the hand you were dealt ;)

Great post to bring back.
Now, I'm not a long time member or a Hog, but I can see the forum take a different flavour recently.

Bob, I enjoyed reading the story when it happened and and enjoy it today. We have something in common, it was my first Busse as well. I still have my first one and it will never go anywhere else. I would sell every other knife I have before that one.

Congrats Flatlander!!! Karma...aint it great! The gods must be looking after you! I'm wiping the tears away as I write this!

Thums way up to the hog who returned your treasure!

Knew I'd come to the right place...

Spent most of three decades on active duty, and I see a lot of that spirit here. Pulling together, supporting one another, taking no advantage...oh, and a LOT of ribbing (I've missed that, especially in the last few stress-filled years in DC).

Heck. No more typing or I might start leaking (from the eyes, darn it!!).

so lets see a pic of it:thumbup:

I'll get a pic when I go over next weekend. I think Bob posted his camera is a paperweight now.

What this, IMHO, shows, is being a Hog has less to do with the number of Busse knives you have, it is more do do with the individual.

There are those who do not yet have any Busse's who are more Hog material than some who have dozens....

Really reminds me of the old Charley the Tuna Starkist commercial. ;)

Someone was able to acquire or saved an old pic from this thread and sent it to me. Won't say who, but I know of a few people that were with me when we thought the old threads would be deleted. We saved every pic and thread we could

I went ahead and uploaded it to my photobucket account :)
