i'm at a local show and looking at a SHBM, need a value estimate...

#38 of 50, infi, flared tubing, vertical grooving in the micarta(across the entire handle slab), old BUSSE logo on side of blade, INFItm stamped on spine between handle scales...

any help appreciated!

Just depends on what you're willing to pay. $2200 being on the very very high end :p $1800 being what I'd probably be trying to skate with ;)

I hope you're looking at it at home, not at the show. :D

Sounds like an LE to me...not sure about the "of 50" part though. Sweet find, Xaman!

I'd say that's right on the nose. :D

Snag it for sure... sounds like a beaut!

okay, i was pretty sure i did alright, looks like i did real good.

i'm out of town until wednesday , i only have my cell phone to take a pic with. anyone want to post a sorry pic for me? pm me an email address if you can.

sweet!

Oh yeah, I forgot to add: Sounds like one of the LE's if it's numbered like what was said above. There wasn't any standard for the LE's, they were constantly produced throughout the production cycle of the SHBM so you've got some 1/300 ones like the sweet snag Tony made or the later one he posted with the grooved micarta and tubes. Thought if the number is #38 that wouldn't make too much sense to me as far as the LE numbers go since it's got tubes, but I've seen some wierd stuff :p. Sounds real sweet though, I haven't heard of any INFI stamps on spines so it sounds like you've got a jewel!

Yes sound like an LE. See below... I wish it was mine:)

.

does it look like one of these?

:D :p

Congrats on a super sweet find... and SCORE!!!

The letter is a great piece to go along with it.
If you read it carefully, Jerry states that it's 1 of 50 with tube fasteners...
not 1 of 50 Collectors grades.

thanks troy for posting the pics, sorry it was such a pain.

there was probably 40 tables at this show, really small. i was shocked to find this treasure.

does anyone know if this could have come from the factory with a convex edge? the seller said he was the original owner and the knife is unused... little scratching from the kydex, but otherwise VErY clean. ..

No trouble at all...once my ISP let the email through. ;)

That's definitely a killer score. Congrats!

All my early satin BMs have a convex... but they are all used though.
But I was told that this was the kind of edge Jerry put on them.

he said jerry did the knife, but i'm not sure how much he knew. he definitely didn't know what it was worth...

Shoot, I guess I need to start cruising the shows to look. I would knock my own granny over to get at one of those (especially if it was going for a good price).

You are a Lucky man xaman, or else fortune favors you, or maybe you sold your soul to the devil........

we will expect more pictures when you have access to your camera.

You need to get that letter framed, or laminated to protect it. That is so great that he still had the letter to go with it.
