Gentlemen and Ladies,
I love the FBM and FFBM. I have a lot of 'em.
But you have to actually handle the SHBM to realize why I like it even better.

I had a chance to handle several SHBM's at Blade '07 and a few more that Ban has showed me since then.
For me, the straight handle just isn't comfortable for chopping. On my ZTBM the Ergo handle is worse, it creates a bruise and then starts to tear open the flesh on my pinky. The Fusion handle fixed the problem by adding a wide section of handle material to spread the force over a larger area of flesh. The EU-17 Magnum eliminated the problem by removing the downward curving section of the handle.
But that's just me. I'm sure the Ergo handle is actually ergonomic for someone.

that is such an awesome comparison shot. not quite far enough back to get the lens distortion out of it, but awesome all the same. you'd have to be on a rooftop to get far enough back for that.

Yeah, you're right. In that pic, it's makes the B9 look huge! That was just a quick one I found. I think there were a couple really good pics that compared the BM's. I was trying to find the pic of B9 next to the SHBM. There was a really good one somewhere, and I think it was either Cobalt's or Guyon's pic. I'll see what I can come up with. :thumbup:

heres with +11 lens distortion in photoshop (inducting pincussion distortion to reduce the barrel distortion). anything more then that and the ak47 starts to be too straight, or have a reverse curvature. but it gives a little bit more accurate size compairson... it does however make the batac handle look larger then the sjtac...

I've only had the chance to handle a FFBM and an CGFBM and I think both are great choppers.
I chose the FFBM here as I hate the way the ergo looks and haven't had the chance to try a SHBM. I think though that the combination of thickness and handle shape/position will always make me choose the FFBM though.
I'll be trying to beat 6 chops this weekend, i've got a convex edge on her, been to the gym and a stack of 2x4. If I do it you'll soon know.

There are various versions of it around. They are different 'cuts' through a block of the raw material. And, sometimes, they've been oiled or watered or whatever ...
