She loved my kukri

Good taste in beer, I think it comes from spending time in Europe where they have good beer everywhere. The other ethanol delights on the trip were Mead, from a shop in Portland (great service and knowledgeable, pm me for name), and a bottle (1.5 L) of Champagne to be mixed w/ Cassis for a drink branded "Kir Royal", also known as heaven in a glass.

Oh, and I can't forget the beer, Fat Tire, that you noticed in the pic, thank god for Costco's 24 packs.

We polished it all off in three days, along w/ some additional drinks from campsite friends, the hightlight was waking up to a pair of Coronas surrounded by ice on our tent porch! Must have come from some of our compadres at camp....and there's no better way to start the day.

Kir Royale is indeed special. You might want to try a champagne cocktail (ala 'Casablanca') if you haven't. Saturate a sugar cube with Angostura bitters, then pour champagne over it.
