Pictures. Also have a bunch of leather, and a bunch of whatever is in that container (Brass rivets I think). I can see that I'll need some snaps, let me know if you see any other items that I'm missing.

So What I see, starting from the top left. Leather strop, (probably for the swivel knife), roll of thread, wood mallet, clear leather finish, beeswax, bottle of snaps, awl, lacing chisels, granite block, with swivel knife and snap setting set on top. Safty skiver, assorted tooling stamps, divider, two hole punches.
What I don't see are. Leather cutting tools and cutting board. (You could use an exacto knife, or razor knife, or a good sharp sheepsfoot or coping blade on a pocket knife or a round/head knife.) I also don't see a stitching groover, edge beveler, edge slicker/burnisher, harness needles, and something to space and punch stitching holes. I use a set of diamond stitching chisels, and a diamond awl for when the chisels won't punch all the way through the leather. I've learned to try and keep my projects thin enough that I don't have have to use the awl a lot. Your going to need some contact cement, and a way to sand your edges smooth. A belt sander is easiest, but sandpaper and sanding blocks will work. You need a way to rough up the smooth face of the leather before gluing. Sand paper will work. Tandy sells a tool for that job that makes it easier. I recommend, "The art of Hand Sewing Leather" book, by Al Stohlman. I also recommend spending some time in the tutorials, that are linked to in the sticky at the top of this forum.
