Sheath dangler issues!

I have a Tops Scandi Trekker, I have a 3/4 inch D-ring on it & "loop" to make it a dangler, but it keeps flipping upside down! Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how do I keep this from happening. ..very frustrating! Thanks!
 
When in the woods/hiking/working: You can lash the bottom of the sheath to your leg using a light/slightly loose line.
