Hello all,
I just bought a Cold Steel Republic, and am looking for upgraded sheath to put it in.
Ideally I'd like a Kydex sheath, but a leather one could work as well.
I'm wanting one that will drop down quite a bit. One where the handle is about two or maybe even three inches below my waist. I admittedly have "love" handles and want something that will clear them, a high carry sheath just won't work for me.
A Kydex sheath with holes on boths side of the blade, with the overall width/spacing able to accommodate an ESEE Molle back and Pouch would be perfect!!
An old fashion leather one, similar to a Ka-bar sheath might work as well. One with a ferro rod and striker holder.
The Republic knife is ten inches long overall with a five inch blade to give one a rough idea of the size needed.
Anyone interested in making me one? Or know of someone who can?
I checked with Randy, the guy on ebay, and he does have a Kydex sheath for the Republic, but it won't fit an ESEE set up like I'm wanting.
