Sheath for FAT NMFSH

Good day.
I recently bought a mint and unused FAT NMFSH.
Now I have a few questions: I believe these were only available at BladeShow 2013. Is that correct?
Also, does somebody know how many were made? (Mine has the black coating with Bruiser G10, I paid 600€....is that a good price for this model or did I get ripped off?)

Now I'd like to get a sheath for this beast. Kydex or leather, I don't mind, but preferably leather.
Does someone know a sheathmaker who has a FAT NMFSH at hand? Since I am from Europe (Austria) it wouldn't pay off to send my knife to a maker overseas.
Thanks a lot in advance!!

Congrats on that beast of a knife. The one that went through my shop a while back was simply stunning. :D

Thanks Midwest Firecraft, I'll contact ihm and figure it out!
Leatherman, it is a real beast, indeed. She begs to be used hard...
Some more ideas as for the sheaths and how many fat ones are out there?

Fatty from Blade 2013...

Thats one good looking blade Rob! Actually one of your Vids made me hunt down a NMFSH! I really like your few vids of using these quite expensive knives. There aren't many like yours out there.
Mine is also looking quite beat up allready, however I have just used her for a few hours. Is it normal that the coating comes off that quickly? Even the coating on my ESEE6 lasted longer...

Thanks man! Glad you like em! Some coatings last longer than others. This one has worn to this point and has seemed to stay the same over the last few years. It's one of my favourite knives. Tanker grey seems to last the longest in my experience. Black wears off pretty quick and looks awesome when it does. I'm not that worried about the coating getting all beat up on them, it gives them character and makes the knife mine :) I prefer a nicely used scratched up knife to a pretty shiny one. That said, I do have a couple of pretty ones that get fondled occasionally :)

Yeah I noticed that the black wears quickly...however, like you, I love the Looks of a well used knife with a worn coating!
A used knife just looks that mich cooler to me, same with a well loved leather sheath with some marks and a good old patina on it.
And of course, I also have a few safe queens, 2 to be exact, but they are not shiny at all.
One is a Grabendolch from 1918 that my granddad carried in WWI and the other one is the knife of my childhood.
However, I am getting carried away.
If someone knows another maker with a fat NMFSH at hand, please tell me.

One of my all time favorites, been since 2004. A friend of mine made an open spine sheath for one of my Khuks, its been love ever since. :D

Even on a straight knife it works as long as your maker knows how to "lock it in" ;)

It depends on what you want to use your knife for in my humble opinion. Leather looks good and adds a lot of style to your knife. I only spend Busse money because I believe in using the best. I don't understand the collecting side. For me and having the user perspective, kydex works well.

My bruiser NMFSH, my love. This was my second busse, and my first from the forum thanks to jeepdude. I have bought a CGFBM trying to replace it. It is still here. I have tried to bring myself to strip it, or send it in for satin treatment at the spa, and all I can bring myself to do is beat the hell out of it. You have a great blade IMO go use it and enjoy, that is why it was forged.

Well, kydex and leather both work for me. Great knife cowboy, Bruisers are The best G10 option in my opinion...
I thought about stripping mine and I already etched the logo with Fe3Cl in case the coating comes off there too. However, I am not going to strip her, the worn coating is too sexy!

Yep, :) Been making them off and on since 05 or 06, cant pin it down exactly. I learned how to from the guy that used to operate the "Sarki Shop" a custom sheath maker making open spine leather covered wood open spine sheaths. He had been making them for a long time before I started full time making. :D

Leatherman, you don't happen to have a fat NMFSH at hand to make a sheath for?
I love the looks of the open spine...

How thick is a "fat" NMFSH? My Combat Grade comes in at .312"
Still needs a sheath also.
