Had to make this up quick before my trip this past weekend. Used a nicely scarred and wrinkled bit of leather.

I used the pattern I used for my Rat-7 and MNeedhams Ranger. It's a good pattern for this size blade and I just make it smaller for shorter blade lengths.

Only new thing I did was put a second row of stitches up towards the top of the welt.

Came together pretty well for a quick job. :)

Nice wood on the the knife. The blade is very reminiscent of a Busse SF Natural Outlaw - must be the little thumb scoop on the spine.

You have some serious skills man. That sheath compliments the knife perfectly. Do you sew them by hand?

The stamping (?) parallel to the stitching is a very nice touch, decorative without being gaudy. That looks like a great camping blade too!

Great work as usual:thumbup::thumbup:
I'll take your quick jobs over most other sheaths I've seen.

Yup. For a while now I have been using nylon braided cord on my sheathes. It's more expensive than waxed thread or artificial sinew but it's worth it. It's super beefy and comes in all sorts of colors.

Very Nice! Did you stain the stamping a darker color, or is it burnt, or how did you get the darker color contrast?

Tooled areas always come out darker. On some textured sheathes I use antique finish......like on this one.
Cool, thanks, I just wanted to know if anything special was needed. That's good news as I don't like bothering with staining leather, I just let the finish/sealer do the darkening.
