Sir! a most excellent idea! Even if it has been done before, all things need tweeking! I have tried your idea on my buckmaster sheath, and to "tie" the ends where they don't come loose, I used a partial hangman's noose. Lay a long loop, wrap to the top of the loop, put the end in the part of the loop sticking up, and tighten the wrapped loop, pulling the end in the loop under the wrap. Only leave a short end sticking out so you can use it to pull the loop out and loosen the wrapped end. Holds it great and easy to take loose when needed! What do you think?
