I sent 15 knives to a sheath maker in April and there still not fished. The original finish date was September 1st. At this point I just want the knives back. Is it wrong to tell him to keep the money and send the knife to me finished or not.

Thanks joe

Have you spoke with him since Sept. 1st.? if so what did he tell you.

I hate when dealers or makers don't communicate. It's one thing if they tell you there will be delays, but another when they barely reply after a few months, and their only reply is basically, "eventually." If it's going to be 4 months, tell me it's going to be four months as it's not really the time it will take, but the lack of communication. Not every week or every month, but if it's getting close to the stated time it was supposed to be ready, and there's a delay, reach out and say something. As long as it doesn't start getting ridiculous. There are a number of people who are great at the technical aspects of their jobs, making sheaths, making furniture, assembling computers, gunsmithing, rebuilding engines, whatever, that really need to higher someone to be the one to deal with customers. It's not part of their skill set.

No response yet to email should I have a lawyer try to email him or what would be the next step I just want the knives back

If I were you, I would get my knives back. Using legal methods. Consider it a lesson learned. Going forward, if you use a BF member sheath maker, you may get better results. Good luck!
