Can anyone recommend a sheath maker for me? I am making knives and they are somewhat useless without a sheath. I have made a few but can't get into it and it shows. I'd like to be able to send my knife to someone and get it back with a nice sheath. It would be even better to have someone local do it. Any in Maine that you know of? Thanks

IDK right off hand. There used to be a guy with a custom leather shop in Waterville that did decent work--I still carry my multi-tool in the sheath he made me. But, alas, he closed up shop and left. Perhaps our other Maine members know of a local source?

Paul Long (sheathmaker) makes amazing sheaths. Check out the sheath forum (he hangs out there a lot) or get in touch with him, his number/email are 830-367-5536 pfl@cebridge.net

Leatherman also makes awesome sheaths, website.

These guys will do you right. If you're looking for something more exotic Martin Swinkels is possibly my favorite sheath maker (but he is in Norway...).

Yep the sheathmaking forum is full of them. I'll vouch for Rayban (real name Rick) as a heck of a craftsman and a real nice guy.

I echo the suggestion of Paul Long. A highly skilled craftsman, and an icredible gentleman to deal with.
