I noticed that I have a problem with some of my sheaths. All my sheaths with brass rivets have bad verdi gris forming around the rivets.Has anybody had this problem and what can I do to stop it.I don't want to stain the sheaths any worse than they are and can't use anything strong smelling because of physical reasons. Thanks Arnold

Thanks Michael.I figured he'd be along sooner or later. He helps so often I hated to bother him by emailing him directly.Arnold

Email me any time...anyone. always glad to hear from you guys.

I believe I'd try good old fashioned saddle soap with a soft brush. The way they used to do it in the shine parlors, for those of you old enough to remember. Any way brush it on and then remove with a dry soft rag. Verdi gris should be gone, but might take a second application if it's bad. Sheath will darken when it is wet, but should dry out just fine. If you do the entire sheath it will all dry the same color even if it is a little darker.

Does anyone outthere have the address of sheath maker, Kenny Rowe? If so it would be greatly appreciated.
