I'm a "newby" to the Rat Forum...and have an incoming Rat Mastiff (big, swingin' mutha) - I'm looking for 2-3 sheath makers I can touch base with to compare work and see what makes most sense for my needs...

thanks all

Hey Will,

Congrats on the Mastiff! I've had mine for quite a while now and its become my number one Rat chopper. I stripped the coating off last summer. They look good nekkid. :D

Check out the list of sheathmakers off the Busse Company store listing...
http://www.bussecompanystore.com/sheath.htm

Theres also a couple more wandering around here, "Leatherface" being one that comes to mind right off.

Hope this helps

I can do kydex for ya if you want something simple. Here's a pic of my Mastiff and sheath

If you want an awesome leather sheath, look no further than Dwayne...

I like how that sheath is shaped Bill! The rise at the throat is awesome.

Hmmmmm...very, very nice - bet if you stashed a couple'a them under your car seat, your passengers would think your ride's brand new (what's sweeter to the smell than new leather....??? ahhhhhhhhh....)

I was also thinkin' about looking for a Kydex sheath with double shoulder setup that carried the blade inverted, in a concealed back-carry rig...draw it down and away..."ie. that's not a knife, mate---THIS is a KNIFE...swoosh..."

Tell the little one HI! from the leatherRat! :D

and, when does the bear get its first Rat? :D

Prolly 3 more years

She has already claimed my Ranger knives "Little Bird" as HER knife!!! Figured I would make her something with pink scales when she gets a bit older

My Rat Mastiff has a sheath by Dwayne (Leatherman) and I love it. If I get a chance, I'll take a pic and post it here later.

Leather is where it's at !!!!!

But your inverted double shoulder rig sounds like my Milt Sparks 'Dirty Harry' rig for a 8 3/8" S&W 29. VERY COOL !!!!!!

Till you wear it for a few hours.

Reality warms up that movie 'coolness' right quick. LOL
