Barrel knives are cool, I do like them, pretty unique design.

Instead of a reproduction, I would love to see a modern version using high tech materials.

I feel like someone with an injection molding setup could make some bucks creating handlesheaths for the popular models of skeletonized knives. It could be a single piece of polymer and the only other components need to be a clip (could be integral) and some mechanism to retain the knife, like a strong detent.

Those barrel knives ain't cheap. I just looked on eBay.
