Sheath treating ?

Thanks all who have replied so far. As some of you may have seen in the knives for sale forum I am giving away all of my knives...EXCEPT for my khukuri and SAK of course. That is why I am so worried about what to put, or not to put, on the sheath. Thanks again. Brian

Hey Rusty, I just had a thought and did not want it to die of lonelieness, so I decided to share it. Why don't you start with a nuetral base for your clove oil? It is very easy to obtain a nuetral massage oil. (No scent at all) Then you can flavor it to your taste. You also run less of a risk of getting something in your oil that is not desireable.(ie. hidden triggers of alergies) Just a thought that I wnated to pass along. I have been using a little clove oil in a mineral oil base. I have found it has almost nothing in it to trigger even my alergies.

What I think I'll eventually do is just use the clove oil on the bare scabard wood inside the scabbard. The massage oil can then be put on the leather separately. But then Clove and Kama Sutra oil does make a certain statement.

Rusty.
I love your clove oiling idea! The point is that I can cut fruits, cakes etc using my Khuk & eat them without any worry of food poisoning caused by any chemical contains in it.

NEPAL HO!
