well crap, i got the knife today, and its either an old sheath or just a bad new one. put it in, take it out, just maybe 2 or 3 times after stroping it to razor sharpness, and it wont even cut paper -_-. so what kinda price can i expect to pay for a kydex sheath? and who makes them?

O_o thats almost as much as the knife cost... i guess i shoulda looked into this a bit more before i bought the knife....

There are a few others. Try azwelke or the 710. Or you could go take a small file and file down where the edge hits the sheath on the inside.

Yea I had that problem with my necker and Eskabar. Lots of good sheath makers here though!

In that price range you are best off getting a sheet of kydex and making it yourself. IMHO, of course.

i supose ill just try the file thing, although since i dont have a file, ill use a hacksaw blade because aparently that works.....

You could pay a lot more...

Its not to hard to make yourself a sheath, it might take a bit of practice but thats it and in the long run I think you'll save alot of cash by doing so...Well that is if you make a good usable sheath :D... If you are not happy with the prices people charge give it a go.

Dont drag the blade when you put it in or out. Or go ahead and drag it then resharpen it wont do it long.

What you can do that works is get a file then scrap the shit out of the sheath inside on the blade side, the get some leather strip and glue it where you filed. Did something similar to mine.

I recommend this. It's actually quite easy and effective! You could also make a cardboard/duct tape sheath that would probably make most Beckerheads shun you out of existence...

Either use the file or just run the knife in and out of the sheath a lot of times to wear a groove it. Also, pull it straight out, don't force pressure on the edge while sheathing / unsheathing it. I had your same initial reaction, but it quickly resolves itself.

Which knife? Which sheath?

and pictures.

the devil is in the details.

you could have researched all day long as well, but you possibly bought old stock, not much you can do about that.
