Sheathmaking forum?

Exactly! That is the point of this whole thing! Thanks very much for summing my point in one sentence. Those sheathmakers that are active on BF can have a common place to meet and let everyone know where to find them. I hardly ever visit the custom knife forum so I am not known at all there eh? Thank you guy g!!

EDIT: to add that I have started a thread about getting this thing going in the service and support forum as per recomended, yall take a peek and let Spark know its got some backing eh?

Guys;

Let me make something clear.

If this forum is created, it will be a discussion forum only, and not a selling or advertising forum. We already have selling forums, which require a Gold or higher membership. Advertising your availability for sheathmaking without having a paid membership is unfair to those who have paid, and it is against the rules here. I urge all of you who are interested in this forum, and interested in culling some business here, to upgrade to a paid membership and help support the forums.

I don't want to sound redundant here, guys, but it does cost money to run this place, and the best way that the administration can ease the financial burden is to make paid memberships available.

I vote yes... and agree with what Code 3 stated - Those wishing to sell oughta buy the appropriate membership. However, I like the idea of that forum for discussion and sharing of "trade secrets" - how to make and care for sheaths of different materials, as well as tips on where to purchase materials. I'll post this over in the service forum, to let Spark know that others like this idea. I'm not yet a paid member ($ is very tight, these days), but hope to be in the relatively near future.

The hope (IMHO) is that creating a sheathmaking forum would encourage a few...ahem...sheathmakers to pony up and go Gold.

I'm in for a sheath forum!

I make leather and kydex sheaths, and i would love to have a place here on Bladeforums to share tip, techniques and ideals!

As you can see i'm a gold member and would be more then happy to pay a few more buck for the designation of sheath maker!

Let me know what i can do to help get this thing going?
