sheaths(Terry Sisco)

I'll check :D If their products were of a quality with which mine could compete, they would have starved to death long ago. When I started my sheath project nonsense, I added a note to Terry in one of my posts that my results would probably drive customers to is door in herds......including me :)

I'll leave the sheath making advice to those who know something about it which takes me out of the loop.

I've never used kydex, but I have made a all leather sheath for a 18" ang khola. I used a thick leather welt sewn into the sheath and this keeps the blade from cutting through. I've never had any problems useing this type of design.
The hat size is still the same. Actually I think it shrunk some!

Actually got the idea from Terry and the process he used to make it.
A leather welt that thick with the heavy leather both front and back means that you have to drill the sewing holes with a small drill.
I made my sheath for the plain as forged Chainpuri blade that Kumar made that I left the hammer dingy finish on as well as some extensive artistic license that I took in reshaping the blade to a full curved model.:)
One of my favorite khukuris, really too light for heavy chopping but fine for light chopping and self defense.
And it will balance on a stick or other small round object, too dayumed sharp to do it on your finger.:)
