Sheaths

At the same time I ordered my NMFBM I also ordered (from a separate supplier obviously) kydex, rivets, a rivet setter, and set to building a cheap but functional press. For the price of buying someone Else's sheath, I got everything I needed to build a perfectly functional sheath. I'm not saying it is a work of art, and I learned several things I would do next time, but I can whip out another one for $12 more in kydex...I can color-coordinate depending on whether I'm going all black as a mall ninja or digi-camo for the days that I am a armchair commando. :D It holds the knife in well and I now have the means to hone my skills and put covers on everything I own. I made one for a old school can opener last night! I had my sheath finished just a few days after the knife arrived. Also got a sheath for my Game Warden out of the scrap from the BM. While it is big and kinda lumpy, and there are definitely some areas that could be trimmed down, I figure I got a paddle in case I ever find myself "up the creek" without one, and no, the para-cord doesn't hold it all together, that there is my rappelling gear!

These are the first and only pics I took, I have since modified the sheath by adding a piece on the back to make it more of a drop-style carry

Thanks, again, it isn't beautiful, but it beats carrying it under your arm with no sheath! And I have learned alot for future projects....getting those rivets to set without cracking can be tough. Patience, grasshopper....
