When I carried a stockman I used the sheepsfoot blade more than any other. For opening packaging etc the front corner of the blade works better than a point (you just use a draw cut rather than a poke--much easier to control than a poke). It is a lot like a box cutter for 'city' use. My current EDC has a drop point. I like it better for defense, and much better when I am hunting. My most critical reason for wanting a little back curve on my point is when I tighten eyeglass screws with the edge at the tip. You can't do that with a straight edge like a Warncliff or sheepsfoot.
