Sheepsfoot Suggestion

So I'm looking for a Sheepsfoot. Have a pretty awesome boss that carries an old Case sheepsfoot but I've heard him say a few times he wishes he had another one like it so he could put that one away so it doesn't get lost. I've done quite a bit of searching but always seem to come across knives that are discontinued. Anyone have a direction to point me in for a good Sheepsfoot that won't kill my wallet?

I always recommend this one when someone is looking for a good but inexpensive sheepsfoot blade. I think it's a very good knife for the price. Lockup is tight and the blade is centered. Can't remember what I paid for it but it was less than $20.

Kershaw Corral Creek.

I like Kershaw's Coral Creek, it's a good work knife I think. A.Wright & Sons of Sheffield do a nice Sheepsfoot in rosewood and carbon steel for around the same price. GEC's Hayn Helper Sheepsfoot is a bit pricier, but good value

Better still, get a Lambsfoot! :D :) ;)

Although discontinued a single sheepfoot blade CASE #11031SH, is fantastic knife with Walnut covers. They can be readily found on the auction site for $50.00-$80.00:thumbup:

Based on the research I've done I think this is what he has. He's not really a knife guy but seems to really enjoy that one.

This one is perfect. Thanks very much. Cheap enough I may just have to get me a matching one lol

I may have misunderstood. Sounds like your boss wants a knife just like the one he already has. You know the situation better than I do but maybe you should get him one just like it if you can swing the cost. Might be worth it to see the smile on his face.

I'm pretty fond of the Victorinox Gardener (AKA "Floral Knife" or "Twine"). Very useful and very inexpensive.

Get him a GEC Crownlifter; sheepfoot blade and screwdriver/caplifter blade. A super handy knife in four handle choices he will love. :)

I feel like he wants something not as "cry worthy" if lost. He's had a couple of times he thought he lost it and was really bummed. I think he feels like because it's old and they don't make it anymore, he's losing a piece of history so to speak. So kinda looking for something similar, but not the same.

That makes perfect sense.

Whatever you decide on, I hope it makes his day when you hand it to him.

Do better : instead of one sheepsfoot, get one AND a lambsfoot (or is it a wharncliff?). Plus you can choose between a saw or a corkscrew, depending of your vital needs! :) :D

I like the look of that one JP!

Not your normal traditional knife but Spyderco Pingo or Roadie. Sheepfoot style of blade in a non locking set up. Either one will not cost and arm and a leg. Also current production.

Old stock tonneau in ivoirine. ;) There's a simpler model.

Edit : in fact it is still produced.
