Sheffield M.O.D. Survival knife

if it's a web-tex produced product, you can be 99.9% sure it's asian made.
to be fair, they do produce some decent products, most of the issues seem to be with the durability of thier webbing and clothing.
I have heard bad things about thier machete, but apparently the british army is now issueing it. which could say more about army procurements than the quality.....

I'll second that notion.

Our (Kanukistan) army stopped issuing the domestic-made Grohmann boat knife a while ago in favour of a cheap chinese-made knockoff. "Army-issue" isn't really a reassuring sales pitch for me anymore :p

But I digress...

Oh, I have no doubt you're right about the Web-tex knife being made in some other-than-Western country. Prolly why it's like half the price of a Sheffield-made M.O.D. knife. But for my purposes it's fine.

The fake-Martindale golok they sell is definitely Chinese- I've read a good bit about them and I wouldn't buy one- you can get a real Martindale for not much more money.

I guess governments need to save all the money they can, and apparently a really good way to do that is by buying foreign-made crap.'Course if that puts citizens out of work that's just collateral damage, right? What a bunch of short-sighted malarkey.

In a perfect world the procurement people who do that kind of procuring would be put up against the wall. That's the kind of policy that's made a shambles of the U.S. economy.....sounds like you're next, Canada!
