Allow me to extend John's goodness to the second page....

I posted this on IG this evening. Here's what I wrote:

"John Doyle @jdoyleknives shows us everything which defines a modern Classic Bowie knife: Clamshell guards, That smart clay hamon, and the incredible burl ironwood handle. Let's all bow in praise!"

This wasn't an easy set of shots. These details are sublime and they needed to be shown clearly.

Then again: Superstar knives make ME look good.

Mr. Doyle, you sure turn out lovely knives. Often when I look at a knife, I find small details I would want changed if I, by some miracle of the lottery, was able to afford the knife.

Nothing on this knife, or sheath that I would want different.

Shell 'S' Guards are not easy to get "Just Right". Often proportions/length/bends are a little off, however your execution of these are right on the money.
