D Filgate, that's VERY generous. I was kinda hoping to get more than one entry in. Lets say that we take this one until the end of the Put Up/Shut Up snow shelter thread that Joe started.

Cool, but as I have no snow I haven't even read the snow shelter thread yet :o ...how long is the extension

Hopefully you're right, however being a bit "more" international than Canada I wasn't sure.

Heading out bush for the week tommorow, got some desert shelters planned!
 
Today my wife and I took the dog on a walk and visited the shelter that we made after
Christmas.
No more snow in the area and it's been very warm for the last couple of weeks.

Pulled the door out of the way, and the inside was nice and dry.

Heading back up to the car, looking west, we saw a couple of columns of smoke

A closer shot shows that the forestry people were doing some slash burning
Those hills where the fire is, used to be densely populated with pine trees.
The pine beetle has had a devastating effect on our area.
Hardly no snow this year, and lots of dead pine trees is going to lead to a
really crappy fire season this coming summer I think.

Managed to get out bush recently, but didn't get to make a natural shelter, hopefully I'll be able to fit in another trip around school
 
Hey, where are all of the other posters in this contest?

Still have until April 30th folks.
