I spent Thursday and Friday nights this week in a rock cave on a mountain side. I had about 4 feet of headspace in the cave. I used my LED converted mini-maglight and full 2 liter Platypus bag as a glow lamp. It worked great and gave me ample light to work by getting set for the night.

There was enough light to make the digital camera work without the flash. Mac

That is pretty cool. I just finished watching a show on an ice hotel in Sweeden on Discovery Channel and they did the same thing in order to light the hotel, except they put LEDs behind a block of ice as opposed to water.

Absolutely! This is one of the reasons I carry glowsticks, I normally just pop one open and drop it into my clear nalgene bottle. Makes a great lantern, and you always know where your water is.
