I put in an order to Shepherd Hills on the 30th for a trapper sheath and selected USPS for the delivery method....ten days later and I'm a little concerned.

Anybody have an idea what kind of eta's to expect? I never got a shipment notification or a tracking number (if they used priority). If it doesn't show, I'll probably give them a call on Monday.

I ordered a Rough Rider from Waxman Knifeworks (east coast), and a Case knife from Shepherd Hills Cutlery (midwest), on the same day; both to ship U.S. mail to me in Concord, CA. Got the Waxman knife two days later, but the SHC knife took nine days to get to me, and I couldn't get SHC to tell me when it shipped. They never did adequately explain the delay.

thx - cpr

I normally get mine within 2 days. Give them a call and check in. Their customer service folks are really nice to work with. I would rate them almost as high as New Graham in my book. (And that is pretty high)

Also, don't forget to call them on the first of every month. They offer a call in discounted Case knife for customer appreciation. You have to call on the first, though.

So I get a call today saying that they tried to run my card and it was rejected. Well of course the card was rejected! They waited over ten days to even run the card....I placed the order on the 30th when I got the paycheck and had it all spent on bills by the fifth.

Seriously, who waits ten days to run a card?

I guess if it had gone through, it would have been a total of 19 days before I got the sheath....lol....think I'll order through New Graham next time.

yep...2 days for me as well.

Dealers who obey the law that says they can't charge your card until they're ready to ship the merchandise.

Yeah those who charge my card then wait 10 days to ship are the ones that I really get nervous about. Shepard hills is not the fastest place, but they do what they say. The one time there was an issue (tube arrived empty) they shipped another immediatly, no questions. I also like their selection.
