We all know guys that work with their hands. How many do we know that actually work with their feet:)

What a great pic. Nice looking knife too:)

There's my hero right there. I'm proud to say that the two knives I have left are Sher's. Man knows his way around a forge.

I am impressed. No way could I do that. No way. It makes me appreciate the fine knives Sher has made even more.

I don't know what that blade is he's working on, but I haven't seen it in the regular HI lineup. I wish I had, because I would love one like that. At around 3/8 of an inch thick with a convex edge hardened to the tip, that would be just about perfect. What do you say, Auntie Yangdu?

I've read all the posts you forumites have made about Sher's photo and I
agree with your comments about his artistry. As you can see from the photos, Sher puts all of himself in his creations.

The knife on the wall in the picture is a giant HI Bolo. It is not a regular
item in the HI product line, but Sher can make it with your special request and order. Email me details

and

funny - that was the first thing I noticed too :)

That makes three but I think the knife Sher Kami is working on is a Sher Bowie, it looks very much like it could be this:

of which only a few were offered on dotd, the one show was from here:

I do hope it is an indication that more are going to be offered in the near future?

Great pics Yangdu. Thanks for sharing! I too have several of Sher's pieces and treasure them.

So what would it take, money- and time-wise to get one of those Sher Bowies? I am seriously interested, especially if I can get one in a chiruwa configuration and if it is hardened all the way to the tip. Even better if it is a forge-scale finish (got a cousin in the USMC, and he could use a black knife with quality like that).

I was just thinking about this, too, sans the black blade finish. I'm a fan of khuks, but an even bigger fan of differentially hardened, full tang, long knives because they're so unique. Maybe make the guard a little bit wider. ;)

We really should forward the photos shot in the factory to some of the 'woo woo' websites. They almost all have 'orbs' in them. There must be a lot of spiritual energy around the kamis. (or a little dust in the air for nonbelievers) :)

reminds me a bit of my antique nepali bowie:

while he didn't make mine (maybe his granpaw did?) sher does good with these.
