My wife has bought me a Benchmade 941 Ti-01, an inlaid Spyderco G10 Native and a Gil Hibben folder with real Ivory scales and scrimshaw of a near naked woman.
On the other hand, I have surprised my wife with gifts by makers named Dooney and Bourke, Kate Spade and Coach. If you don't know these makers, do a little Google work and get to know their work. Then pay attention to your wife's tastes in that category and surprise her with a high end production piece. You'll be surprised how far something like that can go
