Ship Knife to NYC...private to private party????? HELP

I'm working on it...will read throughly and respond once I get a chance. The case you reference is not really representative of the OP's situation, however, though it does serve to depict the tyrannical nature of the anti-knife government in NY. Plus the knife dealer caved in and settled here so the merits of the prosecution's case were not truly tested. I was able to find a couple more relevant cases which I will summarize here once I get a chance. Thanks for the info, Tom.

I look forward to any cases you can reference. The chance of one sale being made to a straw buyer and or the delivery being discovered and reporter to the NYPD are silm in both instances, but that said, this stuff does happen and if found out will be viewed as illegal. The fact that it did not go to trial, does not mean all that much. There was a case in Queens NYC three months ago where a jurt trial found the person innocent of carrying a switchblade when he in fact had an assisted opener. That one jury verdict has no real bearing on the next person arrested for the same offense. The only true case law in NY state which counts is the Court of Appelas, as there decision is binding on lower courts....
