• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Shipley Knives.

Unless I bought one off of you from Ebay, it wasn't me.....

But I do own a Shipley Tanto. Big, too thick, too wide, too heavy, poorly wrapped with some nasty cotton(?) cord, and rusty.

Worst $70.00 I ever spent.

Other than that, I like it ok.

I think I am going to introduce it to the belt sander and see if I can improve it.

Hi Marion, You may be thinking of me - or at least I ended up with three of his knives that I purchased here on the forums. Black phosphate coated, skeletal handle (no slabs or wrap). They are some of my favorite knives. Perfectly ground. I inquired about Shipley here on the forum not to long ago. I was trying to find his website. Was told he's out of the knifemaking business.

ag,

Yeah, I think you have them.

One is a drop point, the other a clip point bowie.

Did you take the rubber handles off?

I just got the third of three that I had bought, from my brother, and I am pretty pleased with it.

Glad to hear they are treating you good.
