Anybody, what's the best and fastest way to ship a knife to Germany. This guy wants it really fast. Next, what's the best way to get paid, do they have money orders? Al

Al,
The easiest way to get paid is if he has a credit card that you take. That way you nor he has to convert money. If he doesn't have a credit card, then the next best thing is a certified bank check from an American Bank.
If you use Paypal, you might get burned, because I don't believe that they secure funds. If they do, then that might be another avenue.
Another option might be electronic funds transfer from his account to yours. This would need to be done through his bank and yours.
As for shipping, Global Express US mail, will get it to his country in 3 days, for around 25.00 - 30.00. Surface will take 30 days but will be about 7.00. After it gets to his country, who knows. You will also find out about customs forms. Part of the form will ask contents and value. Depending on country he might have to pay import taxes. Also, some countries prohibit knives of certain designs, i.e. double edge of any style, not just daggers, Automatic openers, gravity knives, assisted openers.
Good luck. I know it's alot of headache. But you know what a satisfied customer is worth.

Fed/Ex is great for quick deliveries, but might be pricey. If it can't be a credit card transaction, I'd have him rush you an international money order. That might tell you how serious he is about "rushing" it.

Regarding types of product to Germany, any product in our line has zero problems shipping there. We label our items "stainless steel camping cutlery."

Good luck.

Not quite the same, but I recently shipped a knife to a guy in Taiwan, had him send me a cashiers check first...then global priority mail to him...he got it in about 4 to 5 days

He also requested I label package as a "camping tool".....good luck with your deal

Try adding "Werkzeug" (Tool) to the label.
Good Luck,

How much tax will customs charge? Does anybody know if there is any tax if the package is labeled as a gift? Is there a limit for free gifts? I know there is one of $50 when sending gifts to the USA. I have a friend in the states who could send me knifes, I'm just worried about customs.

Try to do search in Community - European forum.

As far as I know the tax free limit for gifts is around 25 Euro. Then you pay VAT and some custom fee. In our country the tax free limit is 150 USD (when the package is sent from private address). The VAT is 22% and custom fee 10%.

Get it sent as 'Gift, not for resale, value $19 Tool. Make sure there is a postcard inside saying here is a gift for you my friend yada yada yada and NO RECIPT IN THE BOX! That invalidates all the above!
