Anyone have any experience mailing or shipping knives to another country? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Moving to TGB&U ...

It'll help if you specify what country. There is no problem shipping knives out of the US; there might be a problem shipping some knives into some countries, or a problem getting payment....

I've probably only shipped a dozen knives overseas over the last couple of years, no problems so far. I've had more problems shipping in the US than shipping overseas.

I have had over 60 knives sent from USA to Switzerland in the last two years and not a single one got lost or was stolen.
The best experience I had was to ship with USPS Global Priority at about $10 or Globla Priority Express at about $25-30.
I always ask the sender to declare the knife as "outdoor tool" or "camping tool" etc. and not as "cutlery". That worked fine for me......

Sgt. Art,
I have the same experience, although I've never exceeded $15USD. I send many to a good friend in the Netherlands, but have also shipped to Sweden, UK, Austria and hopefully to S.A. in the near future. Small risk with no insurance, very reliable. I have only had 1 failure and the knife "fell" out of the package. Empty envelope showed up. I glass tape the edges for the small envelope. My latest shipment was a CRK Neil Roberts Warrior, posted it Thursday arrived Netherlands Tuesday.
