Shipping mix up

Me neither, but if I did I would open a thread about the seller in GBU.

I have had some non-knife shipping mixups, but they didn't involve knives.

Nope. Cheaper blade.. not gonna out anybody. It's being handled from what I understand.

Just wondered if you guys experienced this before.

Blade is from a dealer.

No, but I could imagine it happening from a knife dealer. They tend to live in that mid-sized business space where they do a ton of shipping but it's all handled by humans. No robots to get everything right all the time. They'll make the occasional human error.

In that case, the correct thing for the dealer to do, is to send you the correct item immediately, together with some store credits/gift card, and not ask you to return the cheapo.

Eh, not that upset. shit happens. I've been speaking to the guy, and he's being cool. Just complicates the whole gift giving deal.

I once ordered a Tenacious on the secondary market. First he shipped me someone elses knife then asked me to forward the package to the rightful owner. He paid me and I did it for him then I finally got my WTF it's not what I ordered. What I got was a PM2 S30V DLC coated knife for $40 and even the box was wrong. I felt sorry for this guy, what a disaster. I emailed him as to what happened And he was embarrassed and thankful at the same time. We agreed on a price somewhere in the middle and that was the beginning of a love affair with Spyderco knives. 40 knives later I am still thanking him for starting me out on collecting and using Spyderco's.
You never know what situations a mistake can cause. Some good and some not so good.

Crazy busy time of year. Mix ups happen.

Hell, I received TWO artificial Christmas trees from Walmart on my porch today. No idea why and I rarely order stuff from them. Didn’t bill me either.

How was the egde?
Completely round. lol

We only did this one time years ago and it was a CRK and a Spyderco that somehow made it in to the wrong boxes. I took a big risk and sent both customers shipping labels to forward to each other. They both were honest and took care of getting the correct knives to each other. I loaded up boxes with a bunch of cool stuff and shipped it to each of them. Hoping it never happens again but we are all human and mistakes do and can happen. Very cool you are being very understanding about it!

One time I sent out multiple packages on the same day. Somehow managed to swap two of the knives and they went to the wrong buyers. Thankfully everything worked out in the end, but I felt like the biggest asshole. Got paranoid and spent the next 6 months triple checking all shipments before sending...

I've had that happen to me before as well. Thankfully I've dealt with understanding people and everything got to the right place eventually.

Stuff happens. It's all about how you handle it when it died.
